Walt Disney World Florida

Disney All Star Music Resort

The Disney All Star Music resort is one of the very popular Disney Value resorts.  It, along with the Pop Century, Movie and Sports resorts are the lowest priced of all the Walt Disney World resorts.

If you want to be immersed in music, come on down and stay at the All Star Music resort!  There are different buildings in this Value resort that are based on different themes.  In no particular order they are:

  • Jazz
  • Calypso
  • Broadway
  • Rock-N-Roll
  • Country

Disney is the master of themes, and they've done up this resort nicely.  You're surrounded by the Disney magic that transforms what could be ordinary rooms to an extraordinary experience!

The Disney All Star Music resort is located in the Animal Kingdom area, and it's a smoke-free resort.  What does that mean?  No smoking is allowed in the rooms, but only in designated outdoor locations.  Fair warning:  Disney is serious about this -- you can and will get fined if you smoke in your room.

Staying at the All Star Music Resort

The All Star Music resort is pretty large, with 1,920 guest rooms.  All rooms have a maximum occupancy of 4 people, and yes, there are family suites in the All Star Music resort!

Given that the resort is large and spread-out, you have a choice of either paying a bit more to be closer to the guest services (like the pool, food and transportation) or paying the lowest rate for a more outlying location.  It's up to you, but keep in mind that there will be a lot of walking, either way.

The beds in the rooms at the Disney All Star Music resort have either two double beds or one king bed.  However, the king beds are limited to first-come first-served.  The rooms are brightly colored and follow the theme of the building in which they are located.  The rooms are roughly 260 square feet in size.

One more thing to know -- the All Star Disney resorts have an extra bed tax with the stay -- about 1.5% more than the Pop Century.  Keep that in mind when you are comparing rates.

Food Service

For dining at the Disney All Star Music resort, you can go down to the Intermission Food Court.  It's kind of like what you'd see in a mall -- quite a few different kinds of foods, and a main seating area.  You can find just about anything here -- pasta, burgers, salads, sandwiches and more.

For in-room dining, there is pizza delivery available.

If you want to treat yourself at some point to a table-service meal, you can either visit a restaurant in one of the theme parks, or...

...you can hop on the Disney transportation and visit one of the other Disney resorts for your meal!  (Do make reservations ahead of time, though.)

Things to Do

One of the neat things at the Disney All Star Music resort is a humongous pool!  It really is huge, and it's in the shape of a piano!  Yes, even the pools are themed.

There is also a second, smaller one called the Guitar Pool.  And finally, there is a kiddie pool for the younger set.

For the young ones, there is a playground located between the Jazz and Calypso areas.  The All Star Music resort also has an arcade, for kids of all ages!

Anything Else?

On the more prosaic side, there are laundry facilities, high-speed interned access (available for an extra fee) and a rather large gift shop.  If you missed getting goodies in the parks, you can do your shopping here!.

If you want to get an idea of the room rates for the Disney All Star Music resort, you can visit the Disney World resort rates page.

I'll mention it again -- the Disney Value resorts are all extremely popular, so your best bet on getting a decent rate is to book your room well in advance.

Have a great stay at the Disney All Star Music resort!

How Suite it Is!

Disney's All-Star Music resort's 53 family suites are approximately 520 square feet -- definitely room to spread out!

It includes separate sleeping areas, a mini kitchenette with a small refrigerator and microwave, and two full bathrooms.

For sleeping, he family suite has 1 queen bed, 1 sleeper sofa, 1 convertible sleeper chair, and 1 convertible sleeper ottoman.  The family suites can accommodate up to six guests.

These family suites are extremely popular, and if you want to reserve one, plan on booking well in advance.  How far?  Six months to a year in advance isn't too soon.
